Sleepless In Bangkok

First day was over with the nite stay in Miami Hotel, giler grand nama tapi sayangnya tak se-grand hotelnya...early morning, check out and then took a cab to Grand Mercure, Park Avenue Bangkok...giler damn luxurious...not that 5 star la...tapi 4 star ajer...huahuahuah....but we got a way cheaper price than if we were to walk in....its 1800baht compared to the walk in price of 4200baht...and a friend of mine once mentioned that some places in Bangkok (in Indonesia as well), they charge a foreigner rates....memang mahal weih...tapi kalau orang tu dari England okay la kot....1800baht baru GBP30...kat England dapat backpackers ajer harga tu okay....but still my friend said that some foreigners aren't willing to pay for that price and demand cheaper price...wadahek?

Okay enough la with blabbering about others....lepas check in hotel, we check out the hotel...bilik aku memang terus mengadap swimming pool....our room was on the 7th floor...view memang tarbaikkk punya la...tengok la mat saleh2 itu sedang getting sun tan....tapi yang tak bestnya awat la semua pon spesis aku gak...mana spesis hawa nak sun tan tu....ceh...tapi Jaja dengan Tina suka la kot....huahuahua

I already routed out the places that we wanted to go...tapi biasa la....plan is plan...we were fooled by 5baht tuk tuk ride....ngengong tul...so next time if you are in Bangkok beware of the cheap taxi and tuk tuk ride...coz they aren't going to bring you to the places that you wanted to go but instead they take you to the places that they can earn komisyen kalau ko shopping....and senang cakap la...those places aren't cheap woooo....deng expensive....bengang giler aku....wasting my time only....from the supposed to be 'cheap' and 'affordable' shop to the seriously made me lose my mood eating place....tapi nasib baik la dia masak kat restoran tu sedap...if not memang totally aku terbalikkan tuk tuk dia (not that i dare to do so la, nak mamposss?)...and one more thing that got me pissed was this one supposed to be 'affordable' shop la...affordable aper kalau fridge magnet yang aku boleh beli dengan harga 35baht kat chatuchak dia charge sampai 350baht...ingat aku bodo....even in europe they only charge around 3-5 euros okay and its expensive la bila tukar duit malaysia but not even near RM30 la...tapi ini memang too much la....i got pissed and i don't care whether the tuk tuk driver got pissed as well (since we didn't buy anything from the shops that he bring us, no sale, no komisyen la)....he dropped us off in the middle of the street waktu lampu merah...boleh tak? tapi out of humanity la kan kitorang tak sampai ati la nak bagi 5baht~RM0.50 sebab dah bring us around...so we gave him 100baht...and he was deng happy....but i was not...TOTALLY PISSED....

So no more tuk tuk or taxi ride...just walk around the area....and in Sukhumvit they have this nite market that started quite early....so we just walk around and bought some things...one thing you have to do is to BARGAIN....go as low as possible...coz memang diorang ni mencekik darah orang bangang....but we got a reasonable price and my mood get better a bit lah....since i insist on no more taxi and tuk tuk ride, and they were eyeing on the Skytrain as well, so kitorang pon naik la Skytrain gi balik hotel....tak jauh pon...tapi gatai nak naik...and fyi, bangkok rail are more advance than Malaysia...the Skytrain is two levels rail and the subway also two levels rail underground....the subway was designed after the Singapore MRT....laju sieh....

Skytrain took us rite into the station that connects to Emporium (one of the high-end shopping mall) and tengah ada SALE...deng i already used my 9 lives when i went to Bandung...so NO SHOPPING...but i was really almost succumbed to the shopaholic virus when Nautica had sale and it was deng cheap weih...boutique Nautica selling the shirt of the original price of 2500baht for only 500baht...aku dah hampir terjebak...tapi nasib la baju-baju (note the plural terms) yang aku suka semua tarak size aku....fyi aku pakai L not XL....then we went on around the mall and then headed back to the hotel by walking coz its just 10mins walk....okay la...

It was nearly 6.00p.m but it was already dark (Bangkok is - 1 hour from Malaysia) so it was 7.00p.m Malaysia time...we went back to the hotel and i have to go out to meet Rose to gave her some thing that her bf asked me to give to her....so naik la aku MRT itu sampai ke almost the last stop....actually si Rose tu bley ajer gi hotel yang aku duduk but since aku pun sajer jer nak menenangkan fikiran, i offered to go around her area instead....when i arrived at the station she picked me up and we had a drink over the side of Chao Phraya River....but dengggg aku terlupa bawak kamera....siot betul....tak dapat la aku tangkap gambar...then she offered to sent me back to the hotel but i just asked her to send me back to MRT...then i took the MRT ride back to Sukhumvit....

Tina, Zaimee and Jaja already went out and had their head, shoulder, foot and whatever massage along with mani-padi lah...and then we went out for a walk around the area and then took a cab to Pat Pong area....it was already past midnite and we insist the the taxi driver use meter (always insist on this)...coz he want to charge us flat rate of 100baht but since we insist on meter, it reads only 60baht...boleh tak...once arrive in Pat Pong, all the shop ala petaling street itu sudah closing but we walk by anyway...it seriously have an eery resemblance of Petaling Street except that they have all those ago go shows in the shophouses lah...and all those pimps la...gerem la aku...nak jalan pon tak senang....but my friend already told me to just ignore them and don't give in to their constant demand for you to watch the shows that they promotes....but i just IGNORE...

Tapi bila nak balik hotel memang takder choice but have to pay their price la for the cab....instead of 60baht, we were charged 150baht...biaq pi la...janji sampai balik hotel....once arrived in the hotel...i was too tired to think already and the clock shows almost 4 a.m in the morning....so go to sleep la...eventho it is going to be just a short nap since we planned to go to Chatuchak comes the morning...i already missed my supposed to do list which were going on a boat ride along Chao Phraya and Grand Palace...whatever it is i had a rough day (and i was cursing every single crude words possible in my head) and by nite i was Sleepless In Bangkok....
