First of all...i went for the movie in IOI Mall instead of Alamanda since its full...but what da hek...the movie was delayed for 40 mins...what a waste of my time...demmm...but whatever it is...we finally were inside the cinema and its started...
I went for the movie because of the trailer...it is not your ordinary typical snow white...the fairy tale...its darker and intense...seriously weih...the mood of the movie...the colour tone throughout the movie definitely set the mood...
The movie started with mama snow white...looking at a red rose in the garden...then got pregnant...then gave birth to the daughter...they named her as snow white...errrrr...i wonder do anyone really going to give that kind of name to their children...okay la...since its ages ago kan...perhaps it is allowed...a princess some more...if only a girl have that name and went to an ordinary public school at the recent time...owh my...i can just imagine she will be the joke of her entire school year...okay okay...back to the movie...the mother dies...then the father went to war then met Ravenna (played to perfection by Charlize Theron)...and immediately get married to her...the very next day...wadahekkk...talking about love at first sight...then on the wedding night got murdered by Ravenna and the whole kingdom was ambushed by Ravenna's army...now now now...that's why la...didn't the king's mother told him when he was young not to rush into things...see now what happen...see a beautiful lady one day and got married to her the next day...aiiii...make sure do background check first la...aishhh...
Anyway...Ravenna got snow white locked in the tower...then snow white grows to The Snow White (Kristen Steward)...then Ravenna got this lil bro name Finn...which looks nothing like Ravenna...unlucky for him for not having a good looks gene in him...anyway...he is ordered by Ravenna to bring Snow to her...but she managed to escape by using her looks (ugly men always had their toot toot in their head)...then Snow ran and ran right into the Dark Forest...then Ravenna ordered Eric the huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) to track her down along with the Finn but then Eric escaped with Snow instead leaving Finn and the soldier behind...there's this King's bff...the Duke...which have a son named William who is Snow's bff when they were a child...William got to know that Snow is still alive...disguise himself to be one of Ravenna's team to track down Snow...
Eric and Snow went to this village filled with women who disfigured themselves to escape from Ravenna (well no one can be more beautiful than Ravenna otherwise the mirror mirror on the wall will tell Ravenna she's not the most beautiful and they will be dead)...but Ravenna's team managed to locate Eric and Snow and burnt the village...so pity the villagers weih...
Then Eric and Snow encounters the dwarves...okay...these dwarves are no typical-snow-white-movie kind of dwarves...they wanted to kill Snow and Eric but one of the dwarves has this mystic power and said that Snow will end Ravenna's reign of terror...so they help both Snow and Eric...only to be ambushed again by Finn and the gang...but this time Finn died...Eric killed him...hooorayyy...owh...no ending yet...William then reveals that he is Snow's bff from childhood...and wanted to help them to Duke's castle...
Ravenna then know that she can't depend on anyone else to kill Snow...so she disguise herself by morphing to William then lured Snow to eat a poisoned apple (okay now i can see the resemblance to the fairy tale)...Snow ate the apple and then fell into comatose...only then Eric and the real William realised it and it was too late...then William kiss Snow in order to break the spell (i think he read a lot of fairy tale books la)...but seriously...William is no true love of Snow...so Snow remained comatose...then back to Duke's castle...Snow was in this middle of the castle laying there...then Eric wanted to try his luck...he kissed Snow after rambling about how much Snow reminded him of his late wife (owh i forgot to mention the hero is a widower)...then he left...only after he left Snow came back to life...wuhoooo...then went out and give a figure speech of launching war against Ravenna...wachaaaa...talking about girl power here...
Then they ride to Ravenna's castle...managed to slip in with the help of the dwarves...then Snow went face to face with Ravenna...its a catfight time...face off...yeahhh...but obviously...Ravenna have magic...hello...Snow...what do you have? she has luck on her side...by a stroke of luck...she managed to pierce Ravenna's heart with the dagger...then Ravenna dead...then Snow is now crowned as the new Queen...with Eric looking at her from the end of the hall...not sure they are getting married or not...The End...
Wachaaa...it was really an intense movie...no doubt about it...no singing singing...no jumping jumping...no laughing laughing like a typical fairy tale movie...one of my friend has an issue with the fact Eric is a widower...she said how come a fairy tale got an ex-hubby as the love interest...its not one true love...ermmm...true enough...but seriously...his voice is really macho one wooo...Charlize Theron acting is perfect...seriously...she is sooooo bad but at the same time in agony becoz of her badgirlness...wadahek la kan...be a good girl then everyone happy lor...but still she insist to be bad girl...but the acting was really good...should give a heads up to those guys out there who fell in love at first sight then go get married without doing a background check...hello...Snow White...errrrr...too much Twilight expression of hers inside the movie...which somehow made me feel as if i am watching periodical drama version of Twilight...errrrr...
All in all...i like the movie...like the whole premise of the movie which strays away from the typical fairy tale...but it is cool...the cinematography was top notch...not to mention the CGI effects too...the sets...everything is breathtaking...but i hate the ending...at least give the closure for the Snow-Eric relationship la...now it left hanging...is Eric going to be the new King...or Snow going to ditch Eric coz Eric is a commoner...is William going fret and challenge Eric to a duel...or perhaps sabotage Eric to get Snow...or Ravenna got that evil twin sister who wants a revenge on Snow and the whole kingdom...wahhhh...that would make an interesting sequel...hehehe...in the end of it...it is still a good watch...
