Review - Salt

I love espionage movie...

Of course i had already put this movie in the list of movies i want to watch for this year...and surprisingly...it was better than what i imagined...angelina jolie really fits in the character...a character which was originally written for tom cruise...but when tom cruise pulled out from the movie saying that it has resemblance to his previous characters in MI...the producers shifted the character to be a female lead instead of a male lead...and casting angelina jolie was perfect...

The movie kick-off with a scene of salt (angelina jolie) being tortured in a north korean prison...then was release with an exchange with a korean guy...then move on to two years later...one fine day...on her anniversary (owh yeah she was married to the guy who freed him which was actually her assignment prior to being captured in the korean prison)...a russian defector walked in to the C*IA office (veiled as rink petroleum) with an important information about a russian spy that was ordered to kill the russian president during the funeral of the U*S vice president...the guy was telling about this so-called school of spies in russia where they had train young children since they were infants to become a russian spy...and live in the U*S as a citizen of U*S...lots and lots of children...it was portrayed that the first successful mission was the assasination of JFK (konon la)...that the guy who shoot the president was actually russian spy trained for that particular mission...hurmmm...just about when salt had enough of it...the guy revealed the name of the so-called russian spy....salt...evelyn salt...and let the chase begins...

I could write more...but it would take away all the surprise factor of the movie...coz this movie surely have lots and lots of surprises...everyone is not as they appear to be...it was full-packed action...angelina jolie do have that russian menace look...which suits the role perfectly....in the end...everything goes on...but the end of the movie means there will be another installment of the movie...as this movie was written as a female spy franchise...cool...can't wait to watch another...hehehe...another good movie to watch...and angelina jolie is dem hot weih...

Review - Sorcerer's Apprentice

I need some light entertainment to ease my brain...

Jerry Bruckheimer seems fair enough...as long as i remember...all his movies features actions...actions...and more actions...this one is no exception...thank god this movie is no Harry Potter movie...harry potter movies are heavy and kinda deep...somehow i do wonder how come it came out as a children's book...

Off with the movie...it started with a scene from the merlin's time...whereas merlin who had 3 apprentices...balthazar played by nicolas cage (bukan nama setan ker nieh?), veronica (monica bellucci) and horvath (alfred molina)....then we seen merlin killed by morgana after getting some help by maxim...veronica then cast a spell to trap morgana inside her body and have balthazar to trap veronica in the grimhold...just before merlin died...he gave balthazar his dragon ring and saying that someday there would be a man strong enough and have all his qualities to become the successor of merlin called the prime merlineum...aha....

Thruout the thousands of years to the year 2000...balthazar finally found the one...but unfortunately he was trapped in a vase after dave accidentally released horvath from the grimhold...and trapped he was for another ten years....fast forward to 10 years later...dave is now a physics student in the university...

Balthazar and horvath finally managed to escaped from the vase and in pursuit of finding the grimhold to free morgana in her quest to conquer the world (arghhh cliche sungguh)...horvath managed to find dave and was saved by balthazar just in time...then horvath realise that dave is the prime merlineum...he then went on to find the descendent of the morganians whom turn out to be an some magician celebrity...hurmmm...anyway...horvath with his new 'apprentice' went on in pursuit of killing dave...but been saved by balthazar over and over again...

Until the end sequence...balthazar managed to free morgana from the grimhold and was casting the spell to raise the dead evil witches around the world only to be put a stop by dave who now became the prime merlineum and dave save the world...and also he got the girl of his dream...balthazar too...owh yeah...veronica also was released from the grimhold la...happy ending...a total cliche...but it was nicely done though...

Overall the movie was entertaining...it was fast paced and give no time for harrypotter-like lengthy conversations...which i like by the way since i am opting for a really light movie...for pure entertainment...the actions was seriously cool...battle sequences in every 10 mins or so...which is great...balthazar vs horvath...balthazar vs chinese magician....balthazar vs horvath & andre...balthazar & dave vs sun lok...and many more...so there's no short of magic use thruout the movie...and physics...hurmmm...with some injected humor in between the action sequences does bring up the mood...and i think this movie is a great entertaining movie...just for pure entertainment...just put the logical mind behind and enjoy it....i enjoyed the movie...heheheh...now i wish i can be a magician...it has a lot to do with physics you know...and owh yeah...i was a physics undergrad...maybe i can be a magician...hahaha...dream on...

Style

Each of my friends have their own writing style...

Each one of my friends' blogs represent what they are in person...their likes their dislikes...and sometimes from reading their entries...you kinda get the idea of how the person are like in person (eventho sometimes/ most of the times they are totally different from what we think they are like)...blogging is just writings...its a bunch of writings of one to express him/ herself...and its cool to read bout their writings...

Some people like cik hayati with her impeccable english most of the time made me feel embarassed of my own writings...ya la...grammar aku went into the drain kan...i enjoyed reading lein's travels and shopaholic adventure...i can't help but laugh reading most of rosli's humor-look on life around him...ha always came out with something to read on...esp the most recent ones which she had the urge to kick-my-arse as i bought RM18 ticket to terengganu earlier...oooppsss...i always felt enlighten by entries made by shuko...his entries are deep...some of my friends are teachers...hurmmm...nowadays teachers are not as they were...teacher's life by cikgu ili and cikgu suraya (also as a mom) are the combination of humor and lots and lots of personalities...its all about their journey in life and educating others...wahdi's blog always made me green with envy...from the gorgeous pictures to the constant travel to beautiful places on the planet...most recently he updated about Italy and Greece...aiyooo...alia's blog is more or less like a daily journal of some sort...more specific on her daily life...if i want to have a good laugh...hadi's will be my choice...that was before he privatised it...invite please ya...if i want to have a gist of what married life are like...yaya's and mrs pali's would be on my reading list....that is for the married...but the ones who are unmarried but in serious relationship? zetty's of course...the recently moved to Sudan, dian entries are all about her life in Sudan...not to be forget...ina rambinah with her diving adventure (recently got her liecence) and her escapades...and there's more and more friends with the own antiques...i never fell short of reading material...

Regardless of the topic...it seems like most of my friends love writing...sharing part of themselves with others...that's cool...actually truth to be told...it also connect others...i still remember how i actually befriend with cik hayati...padahal kat sixmonthscourse tak pernah bercakap satu habuk pun...hahaha...but all in all...there's always a good thing that can come out from everything...its just style...

Review - Inception

Its easily the best movie i've seen this year...

Went to the movies last nite as i don't have anything else to do...movie marathon...street dance 3D (which i will tell about later in my next entry) and Inception...went out alone...yeah i do like to watch movies alone from time to time...its much more practical...don't ask why...

This movie is by far is one of the most complex movie i ever watched...the last time i watched a really complex movie was The Matrix (matrix was actually a science conceptual movie with laws of metaphysics and lots of research done about artificial intelligence and subconcious reality) which i think most people just watch becoz it is The Matrix...and it has been a while since i really have to crack my brain to fully understand the premise of the movie...but it was a great 2 hours 30 mins...its all about dream...being able to manipulate the subconcious mind to extract information and at the same time being the architect of the imaginary world that felt so real...confusing? wait till you watch the movie....

It started with Cobb (Leo DiCaprio) being washed up by the beach and met this elderly gentleman in the house by the beach...suddenly it was cut back to the flashbacks to the same venue but with a younger version of the elderly gentleman...Cobb was actually trying to steal something from Saito (Ken Watanabe) mind and was in Saito's subconcious state to exract the information that he needed...always la...hero must have sidekick rite...the sidekick, Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) assist Cobb in all this subconcious adventures inside one's mind that was created by the architect...the dream architect who re-created every single detail inside one's dream...but Cobb failed to steal the information from Saito...

Back to reality...Saito managed to catch up with them and offered them a job...in exchange for Cobb's freedom to be able to go back to his son and daughter...the job was not to steal one's idea but to implant an idea inside his rival's son's mind...just a simple idea...that the father doesn't want his son to continue with his legacy...sounds easy rite...but you have no idea how complicated the process are once you went along with the movie...

Cobb need to hired a new dream architect, Ariadne, as the former architect was taken away by Saito...and there was Eames...the master of forger who is capable of imitating and shifting his identity inside dream...then there's Yusof...the chemist who prepared the sedative powerful enough for someone to go deeper inside the dream...dream in dream in a dream...complex? hahaha...to complete up the team...there was Saito...or as Eames called him...the tourist...hehehe..

The plan started with Saito buying the whole airlines that is supposed to carry Fischer (Cillian Murphy) on a 10 hours flight from L.A. to Sydney...hahaha...i think it is funny...then while they were flying first class...Fischer was drugged unconcious....and the adventure begin...a person was left in each level of the dream as to guard the body of respective members from being attacked by Fischer's projected mercenaries....the first layer of the dream was in the city with Yusof driving a van....the second layer of the dream which was inside a hotel and Arthur was left behind...third layer of the dream was in the middle of the snowy mountain fortress and Eames and Saito was left behind... in the third level...fischer must break into the fortress to ultimately locate the idea the team is planting...for each levels each 'kicks' help them escape back to reality...explosives in the mountain fortress...explosives in the hotel's lift and van crashing into the river is the ultimate kick to reality...

But of course...plans have a way to go awry...Mal (Marion Cotillard) appeared in the third level of the dream and shot Fischer which sent him deeper inside the dream in which he can't tell whether it is a dream or reality...Cobb and Ariadne had no choice but to go deeper inside the fourth level of the dream...the level of which was created by Cobb and his wife Mal to search for Fischer and bring him back to reality...

Owh almost forgot...once cobb and mal created their own world and had lived for years and years...until cobb had convinced mal that they are indeed living in a dream and have to go back to reality...after getting back to reality, mal still had difficulties to really differentiate between a dream and reality as she was still convinced that they are still inside a dream and have to kill themselves to kick out from it...mal committed a suicide by jumping from the high building and met with her death...and cobb was clouded with guilt ever since and it really interfere with his ability to keep his mind straight inside a dream...

Back to the dream...they found Fischer...Ariadne bring both of them back to the former level with the kick of the level in form of a hurricane leaving Cobb...Cobb stayed inside the 'limbo' to find Saito to convince him that he was still in his dream and kick out of the dream...

In the end...all woke up and Fischer got the idea that he is not supposed to continue with his father's legacy...and all end almost well...with an ultimate final twist...which i am not going to tell...but i think i had written too much...it is really a complex movie...but it was intriguing and engaging...my brain was dried out to really follow with the concept of the movie...but all in all...it was recommended...and i have no qualms about going again for the second time...hehehe

Friends...Laughs - Spa Putrajaya

It happened recently when Ady and Elle (bukan nama sebenar) came to visit me in Putrajaya...

That nite after we went for the dinner cruise (Elle's paying for my belated birthday) at Putrajaya Lake...the dinner was great...we had great fun picking on each other and chatting the night away...end with the dinner session...Elle asked me whether i can just drive around putrajaya area as she has never really drive around putrajaya...i conceded...hehehe...

We were driving at the big roundabout (the one with melawati palace itu) and went across parcel E, parcel D and what not...suddenly Elle uttered one statement...

Elle : wow...tak sangka kat bangunan kerajaan ni pon ada spa...

Ady & Mal : huh?

Elle : eh mal...brapa harga untuk full massage and aromatherapy kat spa tu eh?

Ady & Mal : erk?

Mal : spa mana?

Elle : alah...spa yang kat jkr tadi tu...kan ada tulis spa kat situ...nanti ko tolong tanyakan harga ek...

Ady & Mal : ~dumbfounded~flabbergasted~ hahahahahahahahahahahahaha ~ gelak cam nak mati sampai terpaksa pull over tepi jalan sebab tak tahan gelak~

Aduhai...Elle (bukan nama sebenar) never fail to make me laugh...she does act like a bimbo but her academic records doesn't show any 'bimbo-ness' at all...since then, i can't help it but laugh or grinned at the sight of that particular signage...hahaha...

Review - Eclipse

I've watched the first two of this twilight saga...

Went there with hajjah and fyd...book the ticket earlier...and as expected...it was full house lah...seriously i am not that keen on watching it as you know all those lovey dovey edward-bella-jacob thingie...but since i watched the former movies so i figured...what da heck...just go and watch lah...owh yeah...i never read the books...

Seems like the premise of the movie is still the same...the love triangle between the vampire (edward) the vampire wannabe (bella) and also the werewolves (jacob)...and i was thinking...why is it in the movies, the vampires are always portrayed as the rich and ultrarich and the werewolves are the poor ones (underworld, interview with the vampire etc)...but thats beside the point....

The movie kicked off with this normal guy getting bitten or what lah...then he became the vampire...he was the head of making this new army of vampires in seattle...why seattle? i dont know...why not LA or LV or where ever lah...anyway...the love triangle keeps on and on...one thing i can conclude from this particular part of the trilogy is...bella is a s*lut...seriously...hello...keep on proposing to have her de-flowered by edward...and edward (being a hundreds years old vampire) is very conventional...he wants to get married first before any deflowering activities take place...kudos for you edward...eventho i still getting annoyed the slow-mo talk of i-can't-live-without-you tone...jacob...being a true werewolves seriously have a high headed ego...owh yeah he is...kept on putting things on bella's mouth...for instance like...you love me but you don't want to admit it...hello...please lah...

But i love jane (dakota fanning) with her ability to incite pain with her mind...and i have to say this dakota do have talent...she showcase blank emotion which really suit her character well...okay putting that aside...the cullen family is getting ready for the battle showdown...owh no its not the dancing competition like were are having at 8tv...it is the showdown between the new vampires and the cullen family...hurmmm...this time around the vampires and werewolves put their difference aside and join in for the battle...which is for me is the only part i enjoyed thruout the movie...

As usual...of coz la cullen family won lah...no doubt about that...and jacob get injured...and bella being her stubborn self...still want to be a vampire and kept on hinting goodbyes to everyone..aiyooo...i still cannot understand this bella-girl lah...for one thing is to keep throwing herself at edward and at the same time still wants to flirt with jacob and at the same time kept on pestering edward to de-flower her with no intention of getting married to edward...ever!...i think this bella character provide a very bad example for all teenage girls out there lah...aiyoyo...

All in all...eventho with all stupid slow-mo conversation that put me off to sleep..i am still going to watch continuity of the movie...which is due to be out next year...entitled breaking dawn...overall...my verdict for the movie...watch it if you dont have anything else to watch...but eventho i have something else to watch i still going to watch it because someone asked me to accompany them...this is not the kind of movie that you would watch alone...otherwise you end up not knowing anything as you will fall asleep after 10 mins...thats for me lah...but do go and watch for yourself yeah...hehehe...

Last Season Shoes

Aku beli kasut hari nie...okay fyne...but seriously i just wanted to buy it...no pressure...hehehe...ni semua sebab si hajjah dengan zaza la nie...first of all we went to alamanda...coz the gals wanted to buy some stuff...little did i know that the 'stuffs' were handbags...jadi...pergi la ke bagz bar itu...mimym bought a red elle handbag and zaza walk out the store with two bags...one elle and another bag is suzy smith...hurmmm...girls...handbags...i could never understand their needs to have more...hurmmm...

Kuar dari bagz bar...si mimym nak gi bank to withdraw some cash...so zaza and i just figure that we may just go over to aldo...since they are having sale...and there's no harm in seeing rite...hahaha...petanda awal nak terjebak dah nieh...sale...hurmmm...brapa kerat sangat la sale...10% ajer kot...but it was not disclosed of how much the discounts given...it was only stated...Great Deals...okay fyne...so mata aku nie cam saja jer ler nak tengok satu kasut nie...suede khaki colored sneakers...aldo shoes roughly would cost about RM200++...this one does too...except after the 'great deals'...it was slightly over RM100...perghhh...teruss aku tanya size...hahaha...tapi takdak...so aku pon tak pueh ati...cari lagik...then i came across this one white sneakers...hurmmm....i never had white sneakers...this might be fun...tengok la harga...erkkkk...it cost 1/4 of the original price...and it fits me right in...apa lagi...beli ajer ler...hahahha...anyway it is a white pontbriand laced up sneakers...cool...

So i walked out of aldo with yet another sneakers in my hand...

Masuk plak dalam Guess...semuanya sebab aku punya mata tertengok 70% on jeans...and i am in a dire need of jeans...serious tak tipu...tapi sayangnya...yang 70% tu jeans pompuan semuanya...jeans laki...15% ajer...from RM500....taknak lah aku...kalau 70% from RM500 mau gak aku...RM150...tapi biasa la...dah masuk dalam butik camtu harus la roaming around...kat handbag section ada sale...and dua orang pompuan itu...walaupun baru lepas beli handbag...still gak nak tengok...hajjah ter'suka' la plak kat satu beg kaler hitam nie...then salesboy tu cakap...50% kak...apa lagi...even hajjah was swayed...hahaha...and hajjah walked out with yet another handbag...padahal kat bagz bar dah beli dah...beli lagi satu...hahaha....adoi la...

Teringat la plak kat cik cher yang kata...dia nak ban keluar shopping dengan aku...sebab aku ni have a way to persuade her to spent on stuffs...hahahah...yer ker...mana ada...kebetulan ajer kot...kuang kuang kuang...tapi whatever it is...retail terapi nie best gak...tapi kalau ada duit la...kalau tak dak duit tu...hurmmm...sendiri mau pikir la...as of aku...memang ler aku nak beli sneakers sejak sekian lama...kebetulan dah dapat jumpa satu yang aku berkenan...and within aku punya budget lak tu...apa lagi okay on ajer ler....

Tapi itu ajer ler kot...takder nye aku nak shopping slalu...sendiri pon harus pikiaq la...tapi aku perasan something...aku tak pernah beli something that is out in the new arrivals section...sebab sooner or later it would end up in the best buy/ last season items gak....and hey...this is malaysia anyway...majority of people doesnt care with the seasonal items...and as of aku...aku just suka yang murah...tapi aku tau berkualiti...and worth my every ringgits....heheheh...most and foremost...i dont think that it would be my last pair of shoes....hehehe...

Finalmente...Espanol Contra Holandes...

Mis escrituras esta vez estan en el espanol...

Lamento la ortografía incorrecta...ya la...dah lama dah aku tinggal bahasa sepanyol nieh...the last time i wrote in espana was when i was in my final year in the university...and it was because of the exam...yeah tome el espanol durante mis anos de universidad...4 anos...tapi keluar ajer universidad...abis semua tunggang langgang...pastu sekarang dok perasan nak blajaq german plak...aiyo...

De todos modos...la espana ganado anoche...sobre aleman...perghhh...yo era tan feliz...memang gumbira arrr...yer ler...after the aleman beat argentinians during the quarter finals...sedih la kejap...or dalam spanish...triste...but now...yo era tan feliz...para los espanoles...hahaha...

Okay la...at least one of my fave team made it to the finals...and i have faith that el espanol dara una patada a algunos asnos holandeses...big time...

Ni mata pun dah kuyu masuk opis...semuanya sebab bola...makan bola tido bola minum chocolate malt (coma la pelota...pelota de sueno...malta de chocolate de bebida)....hahaha...but its worth it...su valor ello...ya la...its like once in every 4 anos...

Next world cup would be in brazil...aha...lets samba....hahaha...

Lunch With Si Gumuk And Si Comot

Went out for lunch with the silly gangs today...

Fadly came and picked me up with his big motorbike (as big as the owner lah) hahahaha...then off we went to Presint 9 to meet up with zet...this time zet remember to bring south african souvenier...got a shot glass...cool...owh yeah...zet is now 28 years old...commencing 2 days ago...congratsss...bila mau party ini?

Si Gumuk sedang bermain-main dengan blekberi Cik Comot...hahaha...

As usual...bila hang out aje dengan 2 orang nie (at the same time...adrian demam)...mesti jadi ngok ngek buat sementara waktu...we are all allowed to be silly...yeah...for a split moment it was back to being silly...and biasa la si zet dengan fadly ni konon konon popular la waktu six months course...orang semua kenal tapi diorang have difficulties to remember the person who remember them...tadi ada la sorang mamat tu tegur diorang...tapi boleh diorang dua-dua pretenders ni pretend cam kenal tapi diorang ter'forgot' nama mamat tu sebenarnya....boleh tak? hahaha...

Birthday Cake...Again!!!

I celebrate birthday like i celebrate hari raya...one month long...hahaha

Great friends indeed...zaza on my opposite...and mimym at the back...birthday cake? close to me lah...hahaha

Today...hajjah mimym was so nice to bought me a seriously delicious cake...chocolate cheese....owh mai got...this is surely recommended...no...its not from resipi rahsia itu...but its from this one shop in bangsar shopping complex....its near to chili's (mimym gimme a chili's treat too)...hehehe...

Actually it was bought on Friday...while we were at chili's and watching the game where the green-yellow (that nite they wore blue...itu sebab kalah...sangat suweyyyy) got humiliated by the oranje...but it doesn't deter my appetite one bit...had mushroom jack fajita's and bottomless apple juice...wahhh...heaven...went there with maui, zaza and hajjah lah...maui (zaza's hubby) was totally flabbergasted upon looking at me refilling my drink glass after another...and i finished off all of the others' food...boleh? hahaha...did i mention i forgot to bring the camera? denggg....

Hajjah Mimym 'devilling' me...yeah i am as inesen as i look...hahaha

Because of that, my tummy was full so i can't take another cake...since my fridge is very the comel (like the owner)...tumpang la kek itu di rumah zaza...then zaza bring it to office today...

Aiii...it is good to have someone to celebrate your birthday with (eventho its almost a month ago)...okay la belated still consider what...since i was in dubai during my birthday...they didn't had the opportunity to really celebrate it with me...hehehe...and aku suka ajer...bila mai bab makan nieh...

All in all...friends...good ones...are really hard to find...once you find them...stick close to them...coz you never know when will you come across another person who will be as close...for the time being...i am trying to finish off the rest of the cake...hehehe

To Germany...well...i love germany as a country...been there...will be there again...and yesterday's game seriously do show how organised they were...just like the country itself...no doubt about it...maybe they could even win the world cup...let see how paul the octopus say about that...now i am itching to find an octopus and name it paul and grilled it...with barbecue sauce...hahahaha...

Woke up this morning...feeling as if i woke up from the wrong side of the bed...wonder how messi feels when he woke up from the bed though...must be messi without the I...he had played a really good game...no doubt about it...everyone can see that he was the one man responsible for those chances...and chances...but execution? hurmmm...i think maradona had done well as a coach despite all those people who are saying that he's not fit to be a coach...but i do beg to differ...hope that he can continue to coach the argentinians...to prepare for copa america as well as the 2014 world cup in brazil...maybe i should make plan to go for the world cup in brazil...it is 4 years down the road...if i save up RM200 per month...a year would be RM2400...and by 4 years time...that would be RM9600...i think maybe enough to get me flight tickets and also the game tickets...i should start making friends with brazilians now....hehehe...

Then i got an sms from someone...who know that i might be a lil bit devastated upon the argentinians lost...but it was okay...the ball is round...sometimes it swerve to the right and some other times it went all the way to the left...life is full of chances actually...just like the game of football...the sky is not always blue...it might get cloudy with thunders and heavy rain...but i love rains...okay that is beside the point...

Something went into my head and got me thinking...wow...this is how strong the influence of a sport on a person...eventho its not even my home country...but when you are rooting for them hard enough...with lots of expectation...it just going to take a toll on you once the expectation has not been met...

Am i going to wait around and watch who will win the world cup? yeah i will...but i am not rooting for any other teams then...now its anybody's game...lots of surprises in the world cup...the champion and runner up's early exit...japan's lost to paraguay...brazil been 'schooled' by bunch of oranges...and now ultima parada la gloria argentina had been shown to the exit...by 4-0...the spaniard...well...lets say they got lucky...it was a mind-blowing experience as well...2 missed penalties...last minute single goal...and not to mention...countless of attacks by paraguay that do left some weak-hearted individual sigh when the adrenaline rush to the heart...owh...almost forgotten...the offside goal by paraguay...

Arghhh...now i should just take my mind off the game...and just concentrate of how i am going to make friends with the brazilians....hehehe...always look forward to the future...past is a past...nothing can be done...but always look out for the future...as the uncertainity might be promising...and no doubt i will be rooting for the argentinians again...and hopefully messi would still be in the top form by then...okay now...where should i start making brazillian friends...hehehe
