Gucci, Fendi, Prada, Tod's, Dior, Coach...

The list could go on and on...

Last year when i was in Paris, i watched a movie about a french designer Coco Chanel (but i left 10mins after the movie started coz they don't have subtitles and its in french, godemit)...its interesting to watch a history about a well-known figure in the fashion world except that i don't watch it till the end lah...and they said that Paris is a city of high-end fashion...which i would agree...a walk down the Champs 'Elysee and seeing all those Parisians wearing all those high-end designer items...whoaaa...it made me feel as if i am so underdress ( but i am under-dressed lah)...

Kat Paris gak ler aku get to know names of designers that i haven't heard or seen before prior to the trip...namely Badgley Mischka, Oscar De La Renta, Narcisco Rodriguez, Yohji Yamamoto, Sonia Rykiel, Viktor & Rolf, just to name a few...seriously people are just well-acquinted with other names like LV, Dior, Prada, Fendi, Tod's, Salvatore Ferragamo and so on becoz they had been well marketed in movies such as Sex & The City, Devil Wears Prada, Legally Blonde, just to name a few...or even been mentioned in contemporary songs...i still remember some of my friends who are swooning over the Louboutin and Blahnik shoes they seen in the movies...and i was...FTW?...or i remember watching a movie with some of my friends and they literally ran out of the cinema trying to find the handbag that was featured in the movie...OMG?

What's up with girls (and some men too, mind you) with all these high-fashion designer items? I remember accompanying one of my girl-friends (a good friend whois a girl, not girlfriend wokey) to buy handbag...she went on and bought two of them...Hermes and Bottega Veneta....and i was like Hermes who? Bottega Mentega??? seriously, no joking...i was not really brand concious...but the price of those two bags can very well paid my P*TPTN loan...and still there are some leftovers for me to survive for another month okay...it doesn't stop there...we went to Marc Jacobs and the saleslady was telling my friend that in Malaysia there's only three of the bags she trying on existed...so it would be all totally exclusively hers (and two others) with a discounted price of 15% off the retail price...its 2 1/2 months of my paycheck without any deduction...and that's 15% off the retail price...wadahek???

Owh one more thing...do you know that there are lot types of handbags...there's clutch, satchel, duffel, tote, sling...and there's also this signature bag made by Chanel named Chanel 2.55...the name was that way because it was made in February 1955...and also there's a hobo bag...owh mai...wadaheking lah? how did i know all these...because i befriend with 2.5 months-my-paycheck-worth-marc-jacobs-handbag-girl...owh another one...for those who wants a marc jacobs but can't afford marc jacobs can try the diffusion line (a diffusion line is a modestly-priced line of merchandise created by a high-end designers that retails at more moderate prices), marc...just for information lah...also there's D&G for Dolce Gabbana, Isaac Mizrahi  and some others...and most people don't know that Armani Exchange (AX) is actually the casual line for Armani and its supposed to be the cheapest of armani...erkkk, AX is not cheap at all hokey...

Refering to my last entry...i was brought up within the society that is so different compared to the one i am living in right now...for me, having the 'item' itself is a bless compared to some who wants to have the 'items' in a specific brands...i have my own justification as for certain items that i want in specific brands...but it is not because of the name...but because of what it represent...i'll write about it in my next entry...as for now, i am drooling over the latest spring collection of bottega veneta shoes for men...owh yeah...now i already know what is bottega veneta...hahahaha

WAHHHHHHHHH!
you accepted my challenge! hahahahahaha. i am impressed-o.

i like marc jacobs. also that bottega veneta. and bimba & lola. i admire their work. i see fashion more like an art, not accessories.

like i always said,
you can buy fashion, but you can never buy style.
